Elena Ledda

I enjoy the challenge of conveying complicated issues in a easy-to-understand and accurate way, as non-scientist.

My interest toward issues that have a strong social impact brought me to cover environmental related issues. In that context, I participated, in 2010, to the MY SCIENCE European Commission programme designed to provide training to young journalists in European laboratories.

I started writing a blog for youris.com on 'gender and excellence' in 2010. I have since contributed to the magazine on a regular basis.  And I also write a blog.

I speak several languages. I am a native Italian speaker, who also speaks Spanish. In addition, I studied Mandarin Chinese at University of Bologna, Italy. Besides, I also have a Master’s degree in journalism from the joint course between Barcelona and Columbia University. I now teach digital journalism and blogging to students undertaking that course.
